Managed IT and Seamless Migration from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365

🚀 The Challenge

Learn Away are a fast growing educational tour provider in the UK. They had no Managed IT support and was using Google Workspace, but found it limiting as their operations became more collaborative. With the business growing and increasing coordination needed between staff and external partners, they required a more structured, centralised platform for communication and file sharing.

Additionally, they didn’t have consistent IT support in place — meaning small technical issues often became big productivity blockers.

💡 The Solution

Pebble IT offered a fully managed IT service where we provide cyber security and unlimited IT support, we also recommended a move to Microsoft 365, using Microsoft Teams and SharePoint to enhance collaboration, streamline communication, and securely manage shared documents.

Our work included:

  • Full migration of email, files, and calendars from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365

  • Deployment and training of Microsoft Teams for internal communication

  • Creation of a structured SharePoint site for document access and storage

  • Integration across desktop and mobile devices

  • Upgrading laptops

🛠️ How We Did It

To ensure zero disruption to day-to-day work, we carried out the migration entirely out of hours. By planning carefully and executing smoothly, everything was ready for the team the next working day. Emails, files, calendars was all there waiting for the users, using our remote support tools we was able to update the users laptops without hassle.

We also focus on people-first onboarding:

  • The team member received a personalised introduction to Pebble IT

  • Our welcome message included a bit about who we are, how we work, and how to contact us - but most importantly we told them who we are personally, and what football teams we support ! (we have a mixture of Spurs and Arsenal in the office..)

  • We encouraged the team to reach out — not just for issues, but for advice or questions that will boost productivity
