At Pebble IT, we pride ourselves on delivering IT solutions that not only work but help businesses grow. One of our recent success stories is the digital transformation of Allendale Group, a company that came to us with a variety of legacy systems and growing IT needs. What followed was a full-scale IT overhaul designed to bring their technology infrastructure up to speed—and ready for the future.

The Challenge
Allendale Group were facing several IT-related challenges that were beginning to hamper productivity and scalability:
They were using Sage 300, a legacy ERP system that no longer met their operational needs.
Reporting was virtually non-existent, with no real-time insights to support decision-making.
On-site antivirus software was outdated and failing to protect remote users.
Their email systems were vulnerable, with high volumes of daily email traffic posing a security risk.
Aged desktop hardware was slowing down staff and limiting flexibility.
Their phone system, an on-site 3CX server, lacked the scalability required for growth.
They needed a modern, robust IT environment—and that’s where Pebble IT stepped in.
The Solution
We began with a comprehensive IT audit to fully understand Allendale Group’s existing setup and future goals. From there, we developed and delivered a strategic transformation plan that included:
✅ Microsoft Business Central Implementation
We migrated the business from Sage 300 to Microsoft Business Central, a scalable, cloud-based ERP system. This provided greater visibility, smoother operations, and the flexibility to support future growth.
📊 Power BI Dashboards for Real-Time Reporting
To address their lack of reporting, we created a suite of custom Power BI dashboards. These are now displayed on TVs across their offices and automatically emailed to key staff—ensuring that the right people always have the right data at the right time.
🔐 Endpoint Protection Upgrade
Their legacy ESET antivirus wasn’t protecting remote staff effectively. We replaced it with a cloud-managed endpoint protection system, ensuring up-to-date security across all devices—whether on-site or remote.
🛜Wi-Fi and Network enhancements
The new warehouse scanners needed reliable Wi-Fi, so the decision was taken to upgrade the warehouse and office buildings to the latest Cisco Meraki access points. As there was more reliance on the internet than ever, we also introduced Starlink as a backup internet that would automatically take over should the main internet drop.
📧 Email Security Enhancement
Given the high volume of emails they receive, we introduced a robust email security platform to filter threats, prevent phishing, and safeguard their communications.
💻 Hardware Modernisation
We replaced outdated desktops with modern Dell laptops, significantly improving user productivity and mobility.
☎️ Cloud-Managed VoIP Phone System
We upgraded their phone system from an on-site 3CX server to a fully cloud-managed VoIP solution. This new system is more flexible, scalable, and ready to grow with the business.
Ongoing Managed IT Support
Following the successful transformation, Allendale Group now benefits from our fully managed IT service. We provide proactive monitoring, strategic advice, and hands-on support—ensuring their systems run smoothly and securely day in, day out.
The Result
Allendale Group now operates on a modern, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure that supports their daily operations and long-term goals. From real-time business insights to seamless communication tools, their technology is no longer holding them back—it’s driving them forward.
