It's been over 2 months since Callum joined us at Pebble IT. Callum is in charge of our IT helpdesk - so we thought it was time for a little Q&A to learn more about the man behind the tickets and who you might be working with.

1. What’s your role at Pebble IT, and what does a typical day look like for you? I'm an IT Technician at Pebble IT. My day usually starts with checking the ticketing system for any urgent issues. From there, I handle anything from troubleshooting hardware and software problems to setting up new devices and supporting users remotely. No two days are the same, which keeps things interesting!
Â
2. How did you get started in IT? I went to college to study a computer course, and as part of the program, we had to complete a week of work experience. That’s when I first worked with Jason. A few months later, after finishing my course, Jason offered me an apprenticeship—and the rest is history. That opportunity gave me a solid foundation and set me on the path I’m on today.
Â
3. What do you enjoy most about working in tech support? I love solving problems and helping people get back to work quickly. There’s a real sense of satisfaction when you fix something that seemed impossible to the user. Plus, I enjoy the constant learning. Tech never stands still.
Â
4. What drew you to join Pebble IT? Having worked with and been mentored by Jason in the past, I knew the kind of leadership and culture he brings to a team. When the opportunity came up to join Pebble IT, it felt like a natural next step.
Â
5. What’s one tech tip you think everyone should know? Restarting your device really does fix a lot of problems! But beyond that—use a password manager. It’s one of the easiest ways to improve your digital security.
Â
6. If you could automate one part of your life with tech, what would it be? Probably meal planning and grocery shopping. If I could have a system that just knows what I need, orders it, and maybe even preps it—that would be a dream.
Â
7. Coffee or tea – and how do you take it? Coffee, for sure. Black, no sugar—straight to the point.
Â
8. What’s a hobby or interest you enjoy outside of work? I enjoy watching football, especially the big matches and when I get the chance, I like to play Tennis or Padel. It’s a great way to unwind outside of work.
Â
9. If you could have dinner with any tech pioneer (past or present), who would it be? Probably Bill Gates
Â
10. Favourite football team? Arsenal. Been a fan since I was a kid, and I stick with them through the highs and lows.
