Cloud Backups
Pebble IT provides automated cloud backup and disaster recovery for businesses across Hertfordshire, Essex and London. Whether your data lives in Microsoft 365, on servers in your office, or across a hybrid of both, we make sure it's backed up, monitored and — crucially - recoverable when something goes wrong. Because when it comes to backup, the only question that matters is the one nobody asks until it's too late: can we get it back?
Microsoft 365 backup - included in your managed plan
If you're on our managed IT support plan, cloud backup of your Microsoft 365 environment is already included, no extra charge, no add-on. We back up your emails, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams data multiple times every day, with full reporting so there's a clear record of every backup taken. Many businesses assume Microsoft does this for them; it doesn't. Under Microsoft's shared responsibility model, keeping the service running is Microsoft's job — protecting your data is yours. It's a big enough misconception that we cover it in detail on our Microsoft 365 support page. We can protect Google Workspace environments in the same way.
Server and infrastructure backup - verified, not assumed
For businesses running on-premise or hybrid servers, we provide automated infrastructure backup priced simply per gigabyte — you pay for what you store, nothing more. And here's the part that matters: every server backup is automatically verified as tested and recoverable. A backup you've never tested isn't a plan, it's a hope. Ours are checked machine-by-machine, so when you need to restore, you're not finding out for the first time whether it works.
Ransomware, deletions and disasters
Backups exist for the bad days: a ransomware attack, a failed server, a flooded office, or the much more common one — someone deleting the wrong folder on a Friday afternoon. Whatever the cause, we restore what you need and get your team working again with minimal disruption. Prevention is still better than cure, which is why backup works hand in hand with our managed cyber security services — but when prevention isn't enough, a clean, recent, verified backup is the difference between a bad morning and a business-ending event.
How quickly can we get back up and running?
It depends what's being recovered — restoring a deleted mailbox or folder is a quick job, while rebuilding a full server is a bigger one. What we don't do is leave it to chance: we work with you to understand which systems your business genuinely can't function without, and prioritise recovery accordingly. You'll know what to expect before you ever need to find out.
Fully automated, monitored and reported
Backups run automatically in the background — no relying on someone remembering to swap a drive or click a button. Our team monitors every backup, investigates anything that fails, and holds full reporting across your environment. You get on with running the business; we make sure the safety net is always there.
Backup and disaster recovery across Hertfordshire, Essex and London
From our base in Hoddesdon we protect business data throughout Hertfordshire, across Essex and into London. Backup is delivered and monitored remotely, and where recovery needs hands-on help, we're local enough to be there.
Why Choose Pebble IT?
Leave it to us to keep your business backed up
Doesn't Microsoft already back up our data?
No — this is the most common backup misconception in business. Microsoft keeps the service running, but under its shared responsibility model your data is your responsibility, and retention policies aren't a true backup. That's why we back up Microsoft 365 environments multiple times a day, with full reporting.
1
Are backups included in your managed IT plan?
Microsoft 365 cloud backup is included as standard in our managed plan — emails, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams, backed up multiple times daily. Server and infrastructure backup is priced separately and simply, per gigabyte stored, so you only ever pay for what you protect.
2
How do we know the backups actually work?
Server backups are automatically verified as tested and recoverable — every backup, checked, so a restore is never a leap of faith. Microsoft 365 backups come with full reporting, and our team monitors everything daily and investigates any backup that doesn't complete.
