Pebble IT Ltd ("Pebble IT", "we", "us") provides managed IT support and cyber security services from our office on Pindar Road, Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, EN11 0BZ. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 15668518 and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration reference ZB794858.

This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website and in the course of marketing our services, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. If anything is unclear, ask us: hello@pebbleit.co.uk or 01992 949300.

What we collect and why

Enquiries. When you contact us through the forms on this site, book a call, or email us directly, we collect the details you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, company name and your message. We use these to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to follow up about our services. Enquiries submitted through the site are delivered to our email (hello@pebbleit.co.uk), which runs on Microsoft 365. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact us about our services.

Marketing. We sometimes send marketing emails to business contacts we believe may be interested in our services. Every marketing email identifies us and includes a working unsubscribe link. If you opt out, we stop. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in promoting our services to relevant businesses, balanced against your right to object at any time.

Website analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site: which pages are viewed, how people arrive, and roughly where visitors are located. This involves cookies and produces aggregated statistics; we do not use it to identify individuals. Analytics cookies are only set with your consent via the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings on this site.

Clients. If you become a client, we hold the information needed to deliver IT services under our agreement with you. That processing is covered by our service agreement and the data processing terms within it, not this website policy.

Cookies

This site uses two kinds of cookies. Essential cookies, set by our website platform (Wix), are needed for the site to function and for security, and don't require consent. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) measure how the site is used and are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner. We don't run advertising cookies.

Who we share data with

We don't sell personal data, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: Wix (website hosting and forms), Google (analytics), and Microsoft (email and business systems). Each is bound by data processing terms. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, transfers are protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK's adequacy decisions or the International Data Transfer Agreement.

We would disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to regulators or law enforcement with proper authority.

How long we keep it

Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards, typically no more than two years, in case you come back to us. Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe or we conclude it's no longer relevant. Analytics data is retained in line with Google Analytics settings, currently 14 months. Client data is retained in line with our service agreements and legal obligations, including tax and accounting rules.

How we protect it

We're a cyber security business and we apply the same standards to ourselves that we recommend to clients. Pebble IT is Cyber Essentials Plus certified. Access to personal data is restricted to those who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication, and our systems are monitored continuously.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our processing of it (including objecting to marketing at any time), and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these, email hello@pebbleit.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to sort it out first.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
