Connectivity & VoIP for Businesses in Hertfordshire, Essex & London

our services
Connectivity
Pebble IT provides, manages and monitors business connectivity and cloud phone systems for companies across Hertfordshire, Essex and London. Internet, phones and IT from one team means one supplier, one helpdesk and one number to call when something isn't right — and because we already run your IT, we design connectivity around how your business actually works, not around what's easiest to sell.
Business broadband, fibre and leased lines
We supply and manage business-grade connections across the range: FTTC and full-fibre FTTP broadband for most businesses, and dedicated leased lines where you need guaranteed speeds and uptime that broadband can't promise. We handle the ordering, the installation coordination and the ongoing management — and if there's a fault, we chase the carrier so you don't spend your morning on hold. A leased line is only as useful as the kit behind it, so we design networks and WiFi and the connectivity feeding them as one job.
Failover connectivity — including Starlink
For some businesses, being offline simply isn't an option. We design resilient setups with a second connection ready to keep you online if your primary line fails — and for several of our clients that failover is Starlink satellite broadband, chosen precisely because it doesn't share the phone network's infrastructure. If a digger cut through a cable half a mile away, it can take your whole business down, so it's worth a conversation. Recruitment agencies are a good example: an hour without phones is an hour without a business, so their setups always fail over.
Cloud VoIP that works wherever your team does
Our cloud VoIP phone systems give you a professional, feature-rich business phone setup without a cabinet of hardware in the corner. Calls run over your internet connection, the system scales per user as you grow, and the mobile app means your team can make and take calls on their business number from anywhere — the office, home, or on the road. Customers hear one consistent, professional business line; your team gets the flexibility to work wherever they need to. For businesses that live on the phone, like estate agents, where the vendor usually instructs whoever answers first, we design the call routing so nothing rings out. We also provide compliant app-based mobile call recording for the rail industry through Rail Call.
The analogue switch-off is coming, is your business ready?
Openreach is retiring the UK's traditional analogue phone network, with the switch-off due to complete by the end of January 2027. If your business still relies on traditional phone lines, for phones, alarms, lifts or card machines, those services will need a digital alternative, and leaving it late means joining the rush. Moving to cloud VoIP now, on your own timetable, is far better than a forced migration against a deadline. We'll audit what you have, plan the move, and switch you over without disruption.
Managed and monitored end to end
Connectivity isn't something we sell and walk away from. We proactively monitor your connections and phone system as part of the service, spot problems early, and manage the lot alongside your network and WiFi and wider IT support — one team, accountable for the whole picture, with no gap between "that's the internet company's problem" and "that's the IT company's problem."
Connectivity and VoIP across Hertfordshire, Essex and London
From our base in Hoddesdon we connect businesses throughout Hertfordshire, across Essex and into London — and when installations or upgrades need someone on-site, we're close enough to be there.
Why Choose Pebble IT?
Keeping your business connected
Can we keep our phone numbers if we move to VoIP?
Yes — we manage the number porting for you, so your existing business numbers move to the new system and your customers notice nothing except that the phones work better. Porting is planned as part of the migration, not left as an afterthought.
1
What happens if our internet connection goes down?
If your business can't afford downtime, we design failover into your setup: a second connection — including Starlink satellite for some of our clients — ready to take over so you stay online even if your primary line fails. It's the difference between an outage and a non-event.
2
Can one provider really handle our internet, phones and IT?
Yes — that's exactly what we do. Connectivity, VoIP and IT support managed by one local team means one helpdesk, no finger-pointing between suppliers, and systems designed to work together rather than bolted together.
